This is almost exactly the same as the prior one except lile all Alts, I will pretty much disable the mods I've noticed that affect the FPS. Looking at you Ksyxis you beast of mod that speeds world loading.
Anyways what I've left activated are...
- Alternate Current
- LazyDFU
- Log Cleaner
Vanilla: 120 FPS Modpack: 110 FPS
Yeah, still not beating vanilla FPS by all means, but it's still a nice compromise given lazydfu's functions and alternate current preventing laggier redstone builds affecting people as badly.
This is weirding me out a bit but oddly performance increased overall on all versions, vanilla, modpack, and modified modpacks.
Currently on this modpack is the same as last version as a total pretty much, but just in case it's...
- Advancements Debug
- Alternate Current
- Ksyxis
- LazyDFU
- Log Cleaner
- Mipmaplevel and Language Fix
Vanilla: 120 FPS Modpack: 100 FPS
Same old same old explanation probably, the mods used will lower FPS but will also let the game load faster/stabilize the version with fixes.
Yeah, this ain't really much at all but this is the best I can do without overrides and using available mods. This is also known as less is more pretty much...
I actually kept the same mods as the prior version, just disabled.
What is active though is...
- Alternate Current
- LazyDFU
- Log Cleaner
Vanilla: 100 FPS Modpack: 95 FPS
The rest are disabled as they did technically contribute to a modest reduction in FPS. Regardless though, they aren't bad to have and is why I left them as disabled instead of literally just outright gone, so you could potentially just unlock the modpack if you don't want to just switch to the original version.
Sidenote: The odd Starlight Legacy version was actually tempting, but whenever I used it it oddly cause fatal errors whenever loading a world. So yeah... not gonna be able to use that until I figure out what's going on. Not to mention since it's an invasive mod (my worst enemy), I'll have to figure out if it's an issue of a fabric version or if it's just that itself.
This is probably the beginning of the modpack so... it won't even be close to twenty mods in a modpack. That's something to worry about maybe at 1.15 or 1.16. Otherwise anything around 1.14 will probably be at its smallest state!
Oh and the current mod list for this version is...
- Advancements Debug
- Alternate Current
- Ksyxis
- LazyDFU
- Log Cleaner
- Mipmaplevel and Language Fix
Vanilla: 100 FPS Modpack: 80 FPS
Edit: Now that the project got accepted I actually got around to testing this and huh... vanilla actually runs faster. In hindsight, stuff like Ksyxis would slow down frames because of what it does: speed up the loading of the world. in any case for vanilla, I averaged around 100 FPS, for this modpack I averaged around 80 FPS. So there's actually a drop using this modpack, but you get more stability and other optimizations like faster world loading as a result. In other words, take this for stability, not increased frames. Guess this is why Optifine was still king during this time~ In any case I'm still committing to Fabric since that's the basis I built this on I guess. I'll see if I can somehow make an FPS oriented version of this mod despite the lacking variety available...
