Tidesinger Equipment
Using the Aquarium Pearls you find sometimes when mining Aquarium, along with a handful of Coral, you can craft yourself a set of Tidesinger Armor or Tools.
This gear is superior to regular Aquarium in every way, as well as providing a direct swim speed increase.
The weapons (Sword and Axe) are special, as they come with Riptide 3!

Celestium Rework
Celestium is getting some more love this update, and a new Celestium item: the Celestium Elytra! The following changes were made for it:
- Increased the movement speed bonus to 10% per piece (from 8%)
- Increased Star Platinums damage bonus to 1 per piece (from 0.5)
- Celestium armor now inherits this damage bonus, meaning all Celestium Armor now has this damage bonus
- Changed the Celestium Sword texture to be more like a scimitar
Celestium Elytra
A much more durable elytra. This is an armored elytra, meaning it gives you both armor and toughness. Not only does it have a movement speed bonus, it also speeds up your flying speed when using Firework Rockets by 20%
Smithing Templates
To comform with the Smithing Table rework you can now find and craft various Smithing Templates. These are found across the world, or crafted from certain materials. The following Smithing Templates were added:
- Unobtainium Alloy Upgrade
- Found in Ancient Cities
- Allows you to craft Metallurgium and Celestium Gear from Netherite and Diamond respectively
- Can be duplicated with Diamonds and Deepslate

- Allows you to upgrade a maxed Gilded Midas Gold Sword into its final form...

- Not to be confused with Desert Temples, which resemble pyramids. The structure you are looking for is more like a small sandstone castle

NOTE - For 1.19.4 these templates don't exist, unless you enable the appropriate Experimental Features.
Midas Gold Sword Rework
The Midas Gold Sword received a massive rework following this update. As specified above you now need to craft smithing templates in order to fold it, which makes maxing it slightly more expensive.
There is a rare chance when bartering with Piglins you can find an Enchanted Midas Gold Block. This can be crafted into a Royal Midas Gold Sword Upgrade, which lets you upgrade a maxed Gilded Midas Gold Sword one more time... Some even say it comes with a special ability which should help with obtaining more gold.
Are you ready to become the ultimate sword-smith?
Mythril Drill Upgrades
The old drill crafting required a Smithing Table to upgrade the drill. You can now right-click Drill Upgrade Items onto it instead.
Items that can be inserted into the Mythril Drill have tooltip indicating that they can be put into the drill (NEW!).
The Golden Luck ability now requires an Enchanted Midas Gold Block. To compensate for this, it now gives you +2 luck (from +1).
Added the Prometheum Bouquet and the Carmot Stone, which replace the storage blocks when being used to upgrade the Mythril Drill (NEW!).
The Carmot Stone can be obtained rarely when mining Carmot ores (NEW!, 4% base chance of dropping, scales with Luck).
Prometheum Rework
This update includes a small rework to Prometheum, rewarding the player if they give it some attention. To clarify, these are the current (and new) abilities of Prometheum:
- Regrowth
- Prometheum will automatically repair itself
- For armor, it must be equipped for this to take effect
- For tools, it must be in your main hand to repair itself
- The tools can also be in your off-hand (NEW!)
- Overgrown (NEW!)
- Regrowth will track how much durability has been restored
- Once you hit a threshold of around 2000 durability regained, the armor will gain additional stats
- The regrowth self-repair effect will also increase on tools
- Engrained (NEW!)
- If you apply Curse of Binding on the Armor, it will gain additional stats, as well as increase the self-repair effect more.
Balancing changes
- Default axe damage has been increased (+2 over sword), meaning over half the axes in the mod got a buff!
- Celestium changes, see the Celestium Rework section
- Prometheum changes, see the Prometheum Rework section
- Osmium base damage: 2 -> 2.5
- Osmium mining level: 2 -> 3 (can now mine obsidian)
- Osmium durability: 584 -> 664
- Osmium knockback resistance: 10% per piece -> 25% per piece
- Steel mining level: 2 -> 3 (can now mine obsidian)
- Steel durability: 600 -> 700
- Steel enchantability: 12 -> 11
- Durasteel durability: 800 -> 820
Other changes
- Reduced the mining level of the Unobtainium Storage Block (Mythic/Metallurgium -> Netherite)
- Changed the animations of the Mythril Drill. It now has more lights when active, and a custom holding animation.
- Revealed the Palladium advancements and made them more clear
- Overhauled advancements heavily, adding all Smithing Templates and the Mythril Drill
- Remove the Lapis Block Carmot Staff ability durability damage when in off-hand
- Added a new loot condition:
mythicmetals:random_chance_with_luck
, which applies Luck directly to the chance modifier when breaking blocks/ores- While luck does have an effect on the older loot tables, it did not have a sufficient impact on drops. This patch should remedy this
- Added subtitles and sound events
- All armor now have custom equip sound events
- The Carmot Staff abilities, Mythril Drill, and Banglum Nuke now has sound events
- All of the above have subtitle support, accurately describing what sound is being played
- This means over time custom sounds for items can be added over time
- Resource pack creators can already change the sounds, if they modify the
sounds.json
- Changed the implementation of attribute modifications
- This is in an attempt to make them more compatible with mods that modify attributes
- Made the Star Platinum and Runite arrows dispensable
- Added a new Unique Block for the Carmot Staff - Note Block

0.17.0
A bit late perhaps, but happy new year! I hope this massive content update is worth the wait.
If you are adding integration/making an addon which uses Mythic Metals, please update your compatibility.
This is due to major internal refactors and re-packages.
If you know any authors, please ask them to verify their integration still works.
Mythril Drill
- A new use for Mythril. Create a mining tool specialized for speed, letting you drill through the world like a hot metal baseball bat through snow.
- You can craft it in a Smithing Table by using a Durasteel Engine with a Mythril Pickaxe.
- Requires Morkite to be fueled. Right click Morkite onto it to fuel (like a bundle).
- The Drill has two upgrade slots, which can be used for the following upgrades:
- Prometheum - Regain Durability while holding the drill
- Aquarium Pearl - Acts as Aqua Affinity, and restores air when mining ores
- Stormyx Shell - Reduces the chance of Banglum Ores detonating by 102% - Warning, driller warranty is void for any case where the chance of a Banglum Ore explosion exceeds 99%
- Midas Gold - Randomly drop raw gold when mining ores
- Carmot - Same as Carmot tools - increased Fortune when mining
Runite Arrows
- Use Runite to craft more expensive, but more accurate arrows.
- These can be tipped like normal arrows, although modded potions will likely not have language keys for them.
Quadrillum Nuke Core
- Use Raw Quadrillum to improve the shrapnel of the Banglum Nuke.
- This sacrifices its radius for double the damage.
Carmot Staff Rework
- The Carmot Staff can now accept a large variety of blocks.
- When you use a block that has a unique ability, it will be reflected in its tooltip.
- For mapmakers, if you wish to create a Carmot Staff which is locked to a specific block, you can give yourself a staff with the following NBT:
/give @s mythicmetals:carmot_staff{StoredBlock:"blockid:here", Locked:1b}
- The Locked boolean will prevent anyone from modifying the staff.
- Added a Sponge Block Staff Ability, which clears water around you in a 12 block radius.
- Added stats for using the Hallowed Block.
- Removed the Runite Block ability, since the freeze didn't find the impact it needed.
Palladium Rework
- This rework introduces two new effects for Palladium Weapons: Heat, and Combustion.
- Apply Heat to your targets by combo-ing them with a Palladium tool, and once they are hot enough light them on fire to make them combust!
- This heavily increases the fire damage and duration of their burn. Use this to your advantage in places with low water (and use the Carmot Staff from above to remove it!).
- While combusting you are also vulnerable, meaning Fire Resistance will not make you fully immune against burning.
- The armor also received a buff, and will now provide two different attributes:
- Lava Swim Speed
- Vision in Lava.
- These do exactly as advertised: They reduce the fog from being in lava, and increases you speed while in lava, letting you move around much faster.
Other Changes
- Lightened the outline of the Orichalcum Sword slightly.
- Overhauled some helmet textures into crowns (Thanks Azzy!).
- Increased Star Platinum arrow damage (18 -> 24).
- Compat - Added Wormhole Special and Dark Morkite to Spectrum's Titration Barrel (Infused Beverage).
- Increased the default size of a Banglum Nuke (24 -> 32 blocks radius).
- Increased the vein sizes of Stormyx and End Starrite slightly.
- Increased the bottom spawn range of Aquarium (41 -> 31).
- Changed Durasteel Axe texture (thanks Painted!).
- Added a configurable HUD element which displays your Carmot Shield health.
- Removed Water Protection tooltip if Origins is not installed.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the Banglum Nuke would not light with a dispenser on specific sides.
- Fix the Aegis Sword models in item frames and on ground.
- Fix Orichalcum Hammer not applying enchants correctly.
- Fix Origins compat not enabling itself.
- Fixed an oversight related to the Carmot Staff placing Bedrock, and a missing tooltip.
0.17.0+1.19.3-ALPHA
- Please see https://github.com/Noaaan/MythicMetals/blob/1.19.3/PATCHNOTES.md for patchnotes.
- Due to a big worldgen change, the config file for worldgen is no longer functional. This will be replaced by datapack driven worldgen, as 1.19.3 fundamentally changed how it works.
- Until the config is finalized, this alpha exists to catch bugs with modpacks in mind. Please test it out, and open any issues on the issue tracker: https://github.com/Noaaan/MythicMetals/issues
