Leather your boots and walk on powder snow without losing armor protection!
Also prevent freezing and can be dyed!
Features
- Each Vanilla pair of boots has its own leathered version!
- Leathered boots prevent you from falling into powdered snow!

- Right-clicking a cauldron with dyed leathered boots removes the color!
- Since 1.20, leathered boots are trimmable!
- Since 1.20, the smithing template to craft leathered boots can be found in igloos, pillager outposts, shipwrecks, and trail ruins (but only in snowy/frozen biomes)!
- The Leatherworker villager can trade leathered boots.
- Leathered boots can be found in Igloos chests and snowy villages!
- Vanilla advancements have been adapted to include leathered boots: Light as a rabbit, Suit up, Cover Me with Diamonds, Oh Shiny, and Cover Me in Debris.

Craftings
Since 1.20
- Duplicate the new Leather Upgrade Smithing Template with the usual smithing template duplication recipe.
- Use the new Leather Upgrade Smithing Template to create leathered boots.
- Smite diamond leathered boots into netherite leathered boots.
Before 1.20
- Craft leathered boots by putting normal boots and leather boots together in a crafting table.
- Smite diamond leathered boots into netherite leathered boots.
- Don't worry about updating your enchanted boots to their leathered version, just make the upgrade in a smithing table!
Compatibility
There is an enchantment, called Soft Step, to allow boots from other mods to walk on powdered snow.
If, however, you really wish for another mod to have the leathered boots versions, for example to dye them, please open an issue with the other mod!
As stated below, this mod provides and API for other mods to use and easily add their leathered boots versions. This means that it's up to other mods to actually use the API and add their own leathered boots!
