Knight Quest is a mod that adds over 30 armor sets, each with passive abilities, hostile mobs with unique skills, new weapons, tameable mobs, a boss with 3 phases, and much more. The mod revolves around a block called the Great Chalice, which must be filled with Great Essence (crafted by combining 4 Small Essences obtained from killing monsters). Once the Chalice is completely full, you can use an empty goblet to fill it and use it as a crafting item or to summon the boss.
This mod is highly compatible with Better Combat, so its use is recommended.
GeckoLib is required for it to work, so its installation is necessary.
This mod offers extensive configuration options, but to access them, you'll need the Forge Config API Port mod (21.0.2 or higher) ONLY FOR THE FABRIC VERSION. It is not necessary to have it installed to be able to play, but it is needed to change the configuration values.
As of version 1.7.0, this mod requires Knight Lib.
The mod is highly configurable through the config file. For any questions, problems, contributions, new ideas about content/mods, and more, you can join our official Discord and comment in the appropriate channels.
Great Chalice
It is the main object of the mod. Craftable as if you were making a cauldron, but with copper ingots. Its primary function is to create the item "filled goblet". This block can be filled by interacting with it (right-clicking) using great essence, an item craftable by combining 4 small essences obtained by killing monsters. When it is completely full, you can fill an "empty goblet" to use it as a craftable item for most items in the mod, or you can interact with a radiant essence to spawn the boss Netherman, the Architect of Chaos.
Small Essence
Small Essence is a special item dropped by both vanilla mobs and the mobs from this mod, with a low probability that can be configured.
Great Essence
Great Essence is the main item of the mod, obtained by crafting 4 small essences in a square. It is used to fill the great chalice by interacting with it (right-clicking).
Empty goblet
A filled great chalice can be emptied with this item to generate the filled goblet.
Filled goblet
The filled goblet is used to craft the majority of items in this mod.
Ratman eye
Eye of the Ratman, dropped by Ratman, is used in various crafting recipes. It shines brightly...
Lizzy Scale
Lizzy scale, dropped by one of the mod’s mobs, the Lizzy, is used as a crafting item.
Radiant Essence
Radiant Essence is crafted using small essence and a nether star. If you interact with it on a filled great chalice, it will summon the boss Netherman, the Architect of Chaos.

Samhain
A small pumpkin that can be tamed, isn't it adorable? Its main function is to protect its owner, using the weapons and armor that are given to it for its own benefit. This means you can give it any type of armor and item by dropping the items on the ground for it to pick them up. To retrieve the items, simply use shift + right-click. It does not spawn naturally, so it must be summoned in the following way: by placing a block of gold with a Jack o'Lantern on top. To tame this entity, it must be given a single Great Essence.
Ratman
A small rat that spawns in deserts, dripstone caves, jungles, and lush caves. There is a certain probability that it will drop its eye, the Ratman Eye. It has two passive abilities, one of which activates randomly when its health drops below half. These abilities are: shooting poisoned arrows in a circle or generating a smoke bomb, making itself invisible for a few seconds.
Gremlin
This little devil spawns in the Nether, specifically in the Nether Wastes, Soul Sand Valleys, Warped Forests, and Crimson Forests. It has two passive abilities, similar to the Ratman, with one of them activating when its health drops below half. It can either enter a state of fury that enhances its properties, such as damage and speed, or spawn 3 ghostly creatures called Ghastlings that fly around it, making it difficult to land a hit without being attacked first. You can also give it a gold ingot to keep it distracted for a few seconds, giving you enough time to escape.
Ghosty
This ghost is commonly found in taigas, forests, lush caves, and badlands. It is sensitive to light and touch, making it prone to disappearing. Its passive ability is that hostile mobs around it become invulnerable as long as it remains alive, a way for it to atone for its sins after failing to save its beloved in its past life...
Bad Patch
It usually spawns in Nether Wastes and jungles. It likes to bite, so it's not advisable to get too close...
Eld Bomb
A small piece of metal filled with gunpowder that is often seen in snowy areas, taigas, and forests. If you get too close, it will likely explode, but be careful, as it leaves a trail of poison that you need to avoid.
Eld Knight
Alongside the Eld Bomb, it can be found in the same biomes. This is a very powerful entity with high damage that won't hesitate to strike anyone who gets too close. When its health drops below half, it summons a handful of Eld Bombs, pushes players away, and generates a halo of poison every few seconds.
Lizzy
It spawns in forests, taigas, deserts, and lush caves. This mob can drop the Lizzy Scale, a crafting item. It is half-blind but has excellent hearing; if you get too close, it will run away.
Momma Lizzy
By the way, this is its mother... She looks angry, doesn't she?
Swampman
This creature can be found on beaches, rivers, jungles, and sparse jungles. It wields an axe, which it uses to attack anyone who gets too close. When it becomes enraged, it enters its second phase, where instead of attacking manually, it throws its axe from a long distance, dealing significant damage.
Ghastling
This flying entity orbits around gremlins when they enter their second phase, as part of one of their passive abilities. They have no utility on their own; when struck, they explode and push nearby players away.
Netherman, the Architect of Chaos
A boss with 3 phases. It must be summoned by interacting with radiant essence on a filled great chalice. Each phase has unique abilities, including fire attacks, lava teleportation, magical teleportation bombs, freezing, and explosive clones.
There is a large variety of armors, each with its own passive abilities. These armors can be disabled using mods specialized in preventing their registration, to avoid having too many items in large modpacks. The JEI mod is recommended to view the recipes.
