Hall of Ween is an esoteric project with an identity crisis, stuck between being modpack utility and a content mod.
Currently, it adds some Halloween-themed food (which should be especially familiar to those with ties to the Lunatic Court) and a few smaller, yet more impactful items.
Your Mad King says... EAT CANDY CORN!
All of the foodstuffs in this mod provide various beneficial effects to those who answer the call of Candy Corn. Currently, they have no crafting recipes, and you have to obtain them through the next feature.
Your Mad King says... TRICK OR TREAT!
This mod adds Trick-or-Treat Bags to the world of Minecraft. You can get a lot of items from them, and they're obtained by killing mobs. Any mob will do, even the 500 chickens clumped on top of your hopper.
If neither of the things mentioned in regards to the Trick-or-Treat Bags satisfy you, you haven't heard all of it. They are fully data-driven! You can dynamically "register" new varieties of Trick-or-Treat Bags, and change their contents using vanilla Loot Tables. The best thing is, all of this happens serverside, so you can surprise your friends with overnight changes without their knowledge!
Your Mad King says... DISCOVER!
Another feature of this mod is an Advancement-based Recipe Discovery system, which allows you to make certain items unavailable through crafting until a certain point in game. Please note that Recipe Discovery currently does not support autocrafting, meaning that the items will always have to be crafted manually (you can turn the entire thing off in the config).
Your Mad King says... EXPLORE!
This wildcard feature adds Captive Testificates to structures all over the world (Their appearance may defy your expectations). Will you help them, and worsen the unemployment statistics in your region? Or will you leave them to their fates, missing the chance to gain more financial backing? The possibilities are truly limitless.
if this seems excessively weird, this feature can be turned off. I recommend fine tuning where Captive Testificates can spawn with something like KubeJS if you want to use it in a modpack.
