Update to 1.21.3.
Update to 1.21.1.
Not many user-facing changes in this version, but behind the scenes, effort has gone into automated testing to hopefully catch regressions before publishing new versions.
New features
- Added support for "shoulder entities". For now, that category only includes parrots.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug that caused the dimension pool transition handler to crash when non-trivial items were involved.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug that meant chest boats, chest minecarts and hopper minecarts would drop their items after crossing dimension pools instead of cleanly despawning.
⚠️ CAUTION
Backup your world before updating.
Significant rewrite of the internals. Data is now stored in a different format, but migration is automatic. The migration process triggers at server startup and should be seamless, but do make a backup just in case. See rewrite notes for more details.
New features
- Status effects are now saved.
- Added a "lost and found" system. If a data load fails, a log containing information about the context of the error is saved. Logged information may include a timestamp, a short description of the error, the raw data that triggered the error, and "layers of context" (e.g. dimension pool, player, specific inventory slot, data type) in an attempt to narrow down the scope of the error. The intention is to allow for manual data recovery in these (hopefully rare) circumstances; the location of the "lost and found" file is logged to the console at the moment of the error.
Changes
- More informative and useful command feedback and console logging.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug that could cause significant data loss when attempting to load data containing newlines (
\n
). An example would be a Book & Quill item with multiple lines of text written inside, which would cause itself and all data following it to fail to load.
