This mod requires Alex's Caves
Alex's Caves adds new unique and extravagant caves. If you wish to enhance your experience, the Stuff & Torpedoes add-on might be perfect for you. Indeed, this mod introduces various objects, tools, and armor, but its main addition is torpedoes that go BOOM BOOM ! Fired from your submarine, you can finally counterattack formidable aquatic monsters, but they are also useful if you decide to assault a guardian's temple or a friend's base.
The mod adds torpedoes and equipment related to Alex's Caves. (install JEI to see all the recipes)
Torpedoes are kinds of missiles that can be launched from a submarine. Three types of torpedoes have been added: basic torpedoes (vanilla explosion), nuclear torpedoes (causing an explosion similar to Nucleeper), and pulsar torpedoes (causing an electromagnetic explosion that repels entities and destroys all redstone systems within a 2-chunks radius).
This mod introduces a new charismatic robot companion, the Polarizz! To summon it, you have to do it like a golem, placing a carved pumpkin on a block of Energized Galena. It doesn't have much interest in your survival.. But its body is quite light, allowing you to send it flying by charging at it like a ball ! Avoid mistreating it too much by hitting it, or it might run away and end your friend's football match. But if you hit it too hard, you can always heal it with a crunchy Neodymium ingot.
The Stuff & Torpedoes addon also introduces a new helmet, the Magnetic Helm. This helmet can repusle entities that possess a metallic item in their inventory (such as a zombie with an iron helmet or just arrows) and also allows you to attract them towards your helmet. You can enchant your helmet with "Universal Magnetism" to affect all entities, even those without anything metallic!
New pairs of boots are available in this mod, the Ferrouslime Boots. They are crafted from Ferrouslime found in magnetic caves and allow you to bounce off any surface. If you are on a metallic block, you will have a speed bonus in addition to occasionally levitating.
Additionally, you have now two new toolsets made of Neodymium. Azure Neodymium tools are repulsive and come with a default Knockback III. Scarlet Neodymium tools have an attractive power and can draw block's drops towards you. These tools are much more durable than iron but less powerful than diamond (1 000 Durability)
If you want to have a magnet without having to carry around a bulky magnetic helmet, you can craft yourself a Pocket Magnet, a smaller version of a real magnet that works anywhere in your inventory. However, it's not a basic magnet that attracts in all directions; it has a north pole and a south pole. This means that metallic items in front of you will be attracted, but items behind you will be repelled. The Pocket Magnet can also be enchanted with Universal Magnetism to extend its range to other non-metallic items.
The Pulsargun has roughly the same effect as Minecraft 1.21's Wind Charge. It has 7 charges and can send out shockwaves of magnetic force capable of repelling creatures upon impact. Be cautious of redstone systems near your base, as they may be destroyed.
The Tectonic Plate armor provides resistance surpassing that of netherite; however, it comes with significant weight that could slow you down. Additionally, it grants its wearer fire resistance to and burns limitation. A legend tells that items on the ground tend to heat up near the armor. It allows resistance to the Magnetic Burst of Pulsar stuff.
