Elytra Nausea
Elytra is a bit too overpowered, making all other ways of transport redundant. This datapack nerfs elytra by giving players bad status effects for flying for too long.
When a player is flying with an elytra, his "nausea" bar goes up. If it hits a certain value, player will start to get hungry, then nauseous, and more. To bring back the nausea bar down, you have to be on the ground.
By default, elytra nausea works the following way:
- Nausea bar goes up by 1 every second
- Nausea bar goes down by 1 every second
- Hunger status effect starts at 30
- Nausea status effect starts at 45
- "Throw up" effect starts at 60
- Stronger hunger starts at 120
- Poison starts at 120
Throw up effect
If flying for too long, the throw up effect starts. This means that any food you are holding will be immediately dropped on the ground (yes, even in offhand). So be careful not to play risky and then starve to death because you can't eat!
Some details
The datapack considers a player flying when the 2 blocks below the player are air and they have an elytra equipped. Only then will the nausea bar start to go up.
Nausea can't go below 0
